Our Story
At Carson Creative Solutions, the heart of what we do has always been rooted in financial empowerment — and that starts with my own story.
Growing up, I was naturally drawn to financial literacy. I didn’t just want to save money — I wanted to understand how it worked. That curiosity became a passion, leading me to pursue a degree in Accounting at North Carolina A&T State University (Aggie Pride!), where I gained the technical skills to match my diligence.
After two internships and my graduation, I earned a role as a credit analyst at Bank of America, diving deep into financial data and accessing the credit worthiness of high-net-worth individuals. I loved seeing the story numbers could tell. But I also saw how inaccessible that knowledge felt to so many — especially creative, everyday entrepreneurs who deserved financial clarity just as much as serial entrepreneurs and corporate clients.
So, I made a plan.
Planning for success, on my own terms.
With my final corporate paychecks, I budgeted every dollar — from my rent to my relocation — and set my sights on Greensboro, North Carolina, a city that felt like home with a great entrepreneurial ecosystem. I didn’t expect the road to be easy, and it wasn’t. I took jobs at a middle school, at HomeGoods, and with a CPA firm. I felt underemployed and, honestly, discouraged. But that time wasn’t wasted — it gave me a close-up view of the resilience and potential in this community.
Eventually, I made a choice: to bet on myself.
I launched Carson Creative Solutions with one goal — to offer clear, trustworthy accounting support to entrepreneurs and everyday people who are building bold, beautiful businesses. What started as an accounting firm has grown into something much more: a place where financial systems meet strategy, and where creative entrepreneurs find clarity, confidence, and connection.
Today, Carson Creative Solutions is evolving alongside me. As my relationships in Greensboro deepen, so does my understanding of what this community really needs. I'm learning who to partner with, how to show up more fully, and what it truly means to be a relationship-based accountant.
This isn’t just my work, or my passion — it’s my calling.
